Eighty years ago, the United States dropped atomic bombs on Japan, taking countless civilian lives. This isn’t a photo from the Khmer Rouge’s Cambodia. Yet, the world has never held them accountable. It’s time for Japan to stand as an equal partner — not as a subordinate.
